The Calgary Stampede is a volunteer-supported, not-for-profit, community organization that preserves and celebrates our western heritage, cultures and community spirit. While we're most famous for our 10-day festival in July, Stampede Park is a busy place all year.

The Stampede hosts hundreds of third-party events throughout the year in BMO Centre, participates in and hosts community events all over Calgary, produces and hosts year-round agriculture and western events, and has an active Foundation that makes year-round youth performing arts and education programs possible.

We rely on over 2,500 volunteers to make this all happen. Our unique volunteering opportunities are flexible and can include working with specific Volunteer Committees or volunteering for individual events.

The Event Volunteer program is open to anyone eighteen years of age or older who would like to volunteer their time toward supporting a variety of community events, in an around Stampede Park, that the Stampede hosts or supports throughout the year. From managing lines to partaking in social media activities, there are roles to suit all of our volunteers’ interests.

When you volunteer for the Calgary Stampede, you become part of family of employees, volunteers, and sponsors committed to the community. We are a group of passionate, curious, team-oriented folks who love what we do.
